Copied from an original 18th century button in a private collection. Our star buttons are cast of the highest quality pewter and hand finished to perfection. In The Proceedings of the Old Bailey, London in 1789 a suspect was identified by a witness as “he had a white coat on in the morning, but not in the afternoon, and there was star buttons and large lappels.”
