1/2″ Yellow Worsted Wool Tape

$2.85

Made in England

1/2″ (13 mm)

This width works very well for the ties of cloaks, binding buttonholes or the edges of civilian clothing and may be used as garters. In 1776 The New-England Chronicle published an ad which included “Deserted from Col. Baldwin’s regiment, in Capt, Thomas Mighill’s company . . .  a native of Ireland . . .  had on a blue coat faced with red and bound with yellow” from personal communication with Mike Barbieri. Both 50/3 or 80/3 orange yellow linen thread is the closest match to this tape.
