4 Pronged Stock Buckle
$21.00
This plain white bronze stock buckle is copied from an original that is of English descent. It will accommodate a strap up to 1 5/16″. Stock buckles like these may reflect the taller collars that were fashionable later in the 18th century and into the early 19th century. During the trial of a London thief in The Proceedings of the Old Bailey of 1801 “CHARLES HOUGHTON was indicted for feloniously stealing . . . a stock, value 6d. and a silver stock buckle, value 5s.”
